Instagram data export
Instagram's data export (downloadable from Settings → Privacy → Data Download) is a zip containing all your posts, stories, comments, messages, follower history, and ad preferences as JSON files. Structure has shifted across Meta's export-format versions but always uses /your_instagram_activity/ as the root directory.
How to open a Instagram Data file
Plain JSON files, any text editor. Convert to CSV/HTML for human-friendly browsing of your post history.
